As further proof of my idea that the weather is broken, we have had the warmest winter in 250 years in Stockholm this year, and now with all the Easter celebrations of the coming spring, life, rebirth etc etc its been Snowing like a bugger for a week. This picture is from a park in town this morning... Happy bloody Easter!!

 We took Nova to be weighed, and measured today (They even measure round the head, which seems quite 1930's Germanyish, but im sure its a good idea as Sweden is said to be the safest country for children in the world)  and everything is going well, she now weighs 3655 grams (up 415 grams or just over 14 1/2 oz) , she  has grown 1 1/2 cm in length to 51 1/2 and now measures 36.8 cm round the nut!!

 We have been given a bottle of vitamin b+d supplement , as all children in Sweden are, apparently these have something to do with sunlight, and as its a REALLY bad idea to expose too much skin in this weather, this is surely a good idea also.

 After almost 3 weeks I am just getting the hang of not going to work every day, unfortunately I only have 1 day of my Papa leave remaining, It has been very good timing though, having Easter fall in the middle of my 2 weeks paid paternity leave , so I ended up having just short of 3 weeks. What I am really looking forward to though is around September when I shall be taking 6 months paternity as Malin goes back to work. There really is no comparison with England regarding the benefits of having children in Sweden. I have said it before, but you don't mind paying high taxes when you can at least see where your money goes.

 Anyway, I have to go and collect Number 1 Son from daycare now, (subsidised by the state, he does 8 am till 4 pm , and it costs around £90-00 a month!!)  so untill next time, love from all 5 of us (Oskar the cat included!!)

 As you can imagine we have all been a little bit busy getting used to having 2 small people in the household, along with a little Nerd project I am working on, (37 years old and I have just decided what I want to be when I grow up!!) but more of that another time...

11.30pm Swedish time Nova Stevenson entered the world after a 3 1/2 hour labour. The cutest pink / purple wrinkly girl in the whole wide world!!

3240 grams (7Lb 2 1/2 oz I think for us Brits ) and Small but perfectly formed.

 Nova ( Working title , full name T.B.C. ), We welcome you! 

 Mother and Baby both doing well. 

 Will write more when I dont have to be back up in 2 1/2 hours
