No cows on the Ice

Hi folks,

The writing of this blog entry finds me in good humor and health, despite a small altercation with the doorstaff at Ballbreaker bowling last night, but more about that later...

We are still in Swedish full on summer mode, it was a half day down at the beach today. Working on the tan and kicking a ball with Luka, its quite lovely although the water is still ice cold, it isn't compulsory to swim, however, so today I didnt.

We had a wonderful meal round our neighbours Kirsi and Jockey's this evening , complete with beer, wine and whisky. Just what I needed after my eventful time last night. As I write this I am full as a swine in a turnip field . God bless you both K&J!!

 Ok, about last night,

Well , it was one of our yearly works booze ups,  involving good food, bowling and lots of drinking , not nessicarily in that order. A good night was had by all , and all the photos will be shown on here or my facebook sometime soon, however, at the end of the night, after having misplaced my camera and then finding it again I ran into a little problem. Out of sheer lazyness I shall just post a copy of the mail I sent the manager of the establishment this morning, rather than having to tell it all again....

Further to my mail that I sent last night, I would like to give you the details of my assault which occurred in the elevator as I was leaving Ball Breaker.
I had taken a photograph of one of your doormen, which I said I was going to put in my Blog, as part of a report on what a good evening I had. He became upset and asked that I give him the camera so he could delete the photograph. When I refused to hand him the camera he and another doorman bundled Me and my friend into the lift where he bent my arm behind my back and forced me to the ground. He then took the camera from me and erased the photograph.
During this incident I lost the hands free to my Mobile telephone and suffered bruises to my arm and side and a sprained wrist.
Fortunately I was able to save the Image of the doorman from my camera  with some retrieval software and I include the photograph so there is no mistaking who was responsible. His colleague was a bigger guy with dark skin and a shaved head.
I spent 10 years in England running Bars and Nightclubs, so I feel I am in a position to be a good judge of what is and isn't acceptable behaviour and the incident last night went way beyond the doorman's rights and into the area of assault.
However I also understand that the actions of an irresponsible individual do not have to reflect on an entire organisation. On the whole ,the evening was a good one with good service from the rest of your staff, which is why I am giving you the chance to respond to my complaint before I involve the police.

I just wonder what the idiot doorman had to hide?? Here he is, for anyone who is interested....

If you see this guy, tell him I said hello!!

Anyway, apart from  that little incident, everything is fine and dandy here, I am looking forward to some well earned holidays in a couple of weeks, a week up in the north of Sweden and a few days in England with Luka will be very nice indeed.

love to one and all ( and get well soon Dodgey bloke!!)

Hello folks,

I have loads to blog about tonight, however, as always time is my enemy so I will get as much as I can down on cyberpaper, and as always, forget about the rest when tomorrow comes.

First off, as my close friends will know, I had a bit of a plan, before I met Malin, to get myself a boat, a couple of dogs and a bike. Live the single life on the water, that was the plan. Anyways, while I was out and about with Luka yesterday I came across what I am pretty sure my boat would have ended up looking like.... a MAN'S boat, with no girls allowed.....

(click on the pic for a closer look, its worth it!!)

A - Mig Welder

B - Beer font with built in flash cooler

C - 5 gallon keg of beer

D - Half built something or another

E - compressor

F - Bar-B-Que

I was thoroughly impressed, and more than a little jealous!!  Luka liked it also. Unfortunately there was no one around otherwise I would have asked for a look around the place.

The next thing I want to share with the world is that I am now trained and qualified to use a semi automatic defibrillator!! This is not as cool as a semi automatic rifle but will have to do for the time being.

This is my good friend Micke making sure that the test dummy is properly dead before we abused it.

This is actually a good thing (I mean learning to defibrillate , not not making sure the dummy is dead!!  )  because it could very well save someone's life, however I was impressed that the Tutor got paid around £100 an hour to teach us how to use something that actually gives you instructions as you use it, albeit in Swedish, and I was even more impressed that she dragged it out over a whole afternoon. And she couldn't even tell me how much voltage or ampage it delivered, or how the ambulance men read the data from it when they turned up...  perhaps its time for a change of career??

The clock beats me once more, so my tale about the Hedgehog and Nick Cave will have to wait for another time,

  Untill then,

 Love from all of Us

Happy birthday to me....

Well, I am now 37 years young, and for the first birthday ever, I am stone cold sober, and going to bed at just after 11pm..... Woe is me!

However, the Babysitter for tonight has aged several years after having both Kids screaming at her, then the cat started too, (We love you Kirsi!!) So Its not just us that get worn out by our little tribe!!

For the record, I can thoroughly recommend the Korfu Grill in Jakobsberg for an excellent Greek meal at very competitive prices . more food than 2 people could possibly eat and 3 strong beers costs around £25!!

The only downpoint was when I asked for a Mataxa brandy, they just looked at me a little blank. It turned out no one there was Greek. Still, the food was good!!

Birthday love to one and all.....

HOT HOT HOT!!

Hi folks,

this is the second time I have tried to blog today, but the first time I had a glitch and lost half a pages worth of rant about Stockholmers inability to que without getting a little ticket with a number on, so I shall take this as a sign not to bother about that for the time being and talk about something much more cheerful, the Stockholm weather this weekend. Its bloody great!! In fact I have got a little sunburned today, which on the 4th of May is some sort of record I believe.

Me and Luka took a trip to Ikea this morning (As we do here in Sweden) Now this is usualy something like torture, but we were in and out inside 20 minuets, with everything I went in for, and nothing I had no intention of buying befor I walked through the doors, which also surely is some sort of record, and then we had an icecream and a nice walk in the sunshine. It was Lukas first proper cone and he thoroughly enjoyed it!!

Then this evening we had a bar-b-que for the second day running, in the sun, with no rain!! Bliss!!!

Yesterday we grilled with our good friends Marlain and Rob, another Swenglish couple and there daughter Lily , who is just a little younger than Luka, and this evening we hung out with Thomas the Rocker, one of my workmates and a bit of a guitar god when he isn't answering telephones at Hansen racing Tongue out

There is actually loads more to tell, but I have to go and get some sleep, however my rant on rude Stockholm folk needs to be aired, so perhaps I will blog a couple more times this week,

 Till then, be good...

Love Lee.
